Recognizing Avian Behaviors

Free class at Padilla Bay this Saturday: Each encounter with a feathered friend is an opportunity to get to know not only who it is, but what it is doing in our shared environment. The “Art of Seeing” and not just looking, it is pursuing a fuller appreciation of parallels between life forms. We will briefly look at the historical and current study of animal behavior and its implications for our understanding. With sharp senses, imagery, discussion, reference and personal field experience shared, we will focus on marine birds of the Arctic and regional waters. Join us for another look at, “Just what are those birds doing?” Wildlife biologist, David Drummond is director of the Merlin Falcon Foundation. Saturday, December 10, 1:00 PM–2:30 PM.
