Join the training team from Washington State Sea Grant and the University of Washington to learn all about the invasive European green crab, what their presence in the Puget Sound could mean, and what is being done to monitor their presence. Volunteers should be prepared to commit to monitoring a selected site once monthly from April-September. Survey groups will consist of 2-4 volunteers/site. Surveys are conducted over a 2 day period dependent on tides.
There will be two training dates in Skagit County this year. The first will be held on February 17th from 9am-3pm. The second will be on March 17th from 9am-3pm. Both trainings will be held at the Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
February 17th training: Full!
March 17th training: Stay tuned for the registration link.
